The Rev. William R. Stanford was Born on January 19th 1954 and grew up in the extreme northern Parish of St. Lucy, on the island of Barbados where he lived until he moved away to College.
His grandparents and both parents were devout Anglicans until his mother joined The Wesleyan Holiness Church in the early 1980’s. William was very instrumental in her conversion and that of his younger brother.
Rev. Stanford is married to Winifred, formerly Grannum who is also Barbadian from the southern Parish of St. Phillip. She is a Registered Nurse, a profession she has always followed.
William and Winifred are the parents of two children, Gale and Nicholas. The grand parents of three; Simone, Gale’s daughter and Jeremiah and London Nicholas’s children.
Rev. And Mrs. Stanford have been in pastoral ministry for over forty years; Serving the Barbados/St. Vincent District of The Wesleyan Holiness Church where he also served as Youth Director and Member of the District Board of Administration before migrating the United States where they have served The Penn/ Jersey District of The Wesleyan Church and The Chesapeake District of The Wesleyan Church where they now serve.
The Stanford’s are very humble and friendly persons who go to great lengths to help those who require assistance.
They enjoy great relationships with family, friends and with each other, but they are very passionate in their relationship with God.
